The 2027 Kia Seltos introduces a redesigned subcompact SUV that balances affordability with premium features. While the vehicle maintains a similar footprint to its predecessor, a 2.4-inch increase in the wheelbase provides a more spacious cabin, including class-leading rear legroom. The design draws heavy inspiration from the larger Telluride, featuring a boxy profile and a floating roofline. The administration of the vehicle's development resulted in three powertrain options, though only two are currently available for the 2027 model year. The base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine provides 147 hp and is paired with a continuously variable transmission. A more powerful 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, producing 190 hp, is available for the X-Line SX trim with an eight-speed automatic transmission. While the new model is approximately 10 percent heavier than the previous generation, it maintains competitive fuel economy and a smooth ride. Prices for the new Seltos range from $26,485 for the entry-level LX trim to over $37,000 for the fully loaded X-Line SX Prestige package.
