Tony Durden confirms three people were killed and one injured in a mass shooting at a Caswell County home.
Tony Durden, the Caswell County Sheriff, reported that a mass shooting occurred at a residence on Brooks Road in the Prospect Hill area on Wednesday morning. The incident took place just before 8 a.m., resulting in three deaths and one person being transported to a hospital with an unknown condition. Authorities confirmed that all four individuals involved were adults and members of the same family. The suspect, who is also dead, was involved in the isolated incident, which was contained entirely within the home. Investigators from the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol are currently processing the evidence. Sheriff Durden stated there is no threat to the general public, and the investigation remains in its early stages.
