Portland Police arrest four Seattle teenagers following a violent gas station robbery and shooting in Northeast Portland
Portland Police Bureau detectives arrested four teenagers from Seattle following a gas station robbery and shooting in Northeast Portland on Friday morning. The suspects, who were linked to a string of violent crimes throughout the week, were detained less than 19 hours after the initial incident. During the robbery at the 76 station on Northeast Broadway, a clerk was shot five times and rushed to a trauma center, where he is expected to survive. Police used evidence from the scene to connect the group to several other crimes, including a carjacking, a menacing incident, and multiple robberies. The four teenagers were booked into the Donald E. Long Detention Center on various charges, including attempted murder and robbery. Additionally, police arrested a 36-year-old man, Andrew D. Robinson, on an unrelated outstanding warrant during a search of the suspects' residence. Chief Bob Day stated that the rapid arrests helped disrupt a group that had been causing harm and fear in the community all week.
