Portland Police arrest four Seattle teenagers following a violent gas station robbery and shooting in Northeast Portland

Portland Police arrested four teenagers from Seattle following a gas station shooting in Northeast Portland on Friday morning. The suspects were linked to a string of violent crimes occurring throughout the week, including a carjacking, a menacing incident, and multiple armed robberies. During the Friday robbery at the 76 station on Northeast Broadway, a struggle ensued between the armed suspects and a store employee. The clerk was struck five times, sustaining four wounds to the abdomen and one to the leg. While the victim underwent extensive surgery, he is expected to survive. Detectives quickly connected the scene to other crimes, including a Tuesday carjacking and a robbery where a clerk was pistol-whipped. Police located the suspect vehicles and served a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of Northeast Webster. The operation detained 12 people and resulted in the seizure of four guns. Three of the Seattle juveniles were charged with the Friday shooting, while the fourth was tied to a separate robbery earlier in the week.
