An earthquake measuring between 5.0 and 5.6 magnitude struck Egypt on Monday morning, located approximately 36 kilometers northeast of the seaport city of Suez. The United States Geological Survey reported the quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers. While the German Research Centre for Geosciences measured the magnitude at 5.4, the Egyptian Red Crescent activated its emergency response plan in the affected governorates. Authorities reported no immediate casualties or property damage. Residents were urged to avoid buildings showing signs of structural damage as officials assessed the situation. The quake was felt in southern Israel and the Dead Sea area.
