Bobby Corser reports a heat wave beginning Monday as temperatures in the Willamette Valley are expected to exceed 90 degrees.
Bobby Corser, a Storm Tracker 2 Digital Meteorologist, announced that a heat wave will begin Monday, with temperatures expected to stay above 90 degrees for at least four days. An area of high pressure moving into the region will provide sunny skies and a consistent warming trend through the start of next week. While temperatures may dip slightly into the upper 80s on Thursday, the region will return to the low to middle 90s by Friday. Meteorologists noted that Tuesday is expected to be the hottest day of the week, with temperatures potentially reaching the mid-90s. East of the Cascades, some locations may reach near 100 degrees, while the Willamette Valley will see highs climb into the 90s. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and seek shade as the hot, dry weather persists into the middle of next week.
