Sundar Pichai reports Alphabet's second quarter revenue growth driven by strong demand for AI infrastructure and cloud solutions.
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, reported that the company exceeded Wall Street expectations for the second quarter of 2026. Alphabet recorded revenue of $119.8 billion, with earnings per share reaching $9.11. A primary driver of this success was the cloud platform, which saw revenue grow 82% year-over-year to $24.77 billion. Sundar Pichai noted that AI investments are redefining the company's business, with nearly 90% of the Fortune 100 now using the Gemini Enterprise platform. The company also reported 17% revenue growth in Search and Other, while YouTube Ads grew by 13%. Despite being capacity-constrained due to high demand for computing power, the company continues to expand its model offerings, including the new Gemini 3.6 Flash and Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite. Alphabet's remaining performance obligations reached $514 billion, surpassing analyst projections. The company remains focused on delivering cost-effective AI solutions while maintaining a global product footprint that serves billions of users across Search, YouTube, and Cloud services.
