Shenzhen Muqiqu Creative Development Co. Ltd. Recalls 91,000 Woodure-Branded Toddler Kitchen Step Stools Due to Safety Risks

Shenzhen Muqiqu Creative Development Co. Ltd. has issued a nationwide recall of approximately 91,000 Woodure-branded children’s tower kitchen step stools. The recall was prompted by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) after reports indicated that the stools could collapse or tip over during use, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fall and entrapment hazards. Specifically, the CPSC noted that a child’s torso can fit through the openings on the front and back sides of the stools. To date, the company has received 22 reports of instability or tip-overs, resulting in 15 reported injuries involving scrapes, cuts, and bruises. The recall covers models WD1764, WD1357, and WD1720, which were sold on Amazon between July 2024 and June 2026. Consumers are advised to stop using the stools immediately and store them out of reach. The manufacturer is offering a free repair kit, which includes protective nets, stabilizing feet, and installation instructions, to be mailed directly to customers.
