Amy’s Kitchen is voluntarily recalling approximately 184,000 cans of its Organic Lentil Soup – Light in Sodium variety. The recall, which began on June 22, 2026, affects 15,350 cases of the soup distributed across more than 20 states and parts of Canada. The company identified a manufacturing defect in the easy-open pull tabs that could allow the product to spoil. Amy’s Kitchen issued the recall out of an abundance of caution to ensure product quality. The affected cans have a lot number of 60D0924 and a best-by date of April 2027. The FDA has classified this as a Class II recall, indicating that while exposure to the product may cause temporary or medically reversible health consequences, the probability of serious adverse effects is remote. Consumers are advised to check their pantries, as the defect may allow microorganisms to enter the soup during transportation or storage. No other products from the brand are impacted by this specific recall.
