Israeli military strikes in the Gaza Strip kill at least 15 Palestinians following a ceasefire agreement brokered by the administration.

Israeli military strikes in the Gaza Strip killed at least 15 Palestinians on Friday and Saturday as the territory remains under a fragile ceasefire. A significant strike on a funeral in the Nuseirat refugee camp killed seven people and wounded 22. The Israeli military stated it targeted a Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist cell, though it acknowledged that civilians were harmed. Additional artillery and air strikes in Gaza City killed eight more residents across the al-Nasr and al-Zeitoun neighborhoods. These attacks occurred as Israel expanded its reach beyond the designated "Yellow Line" established during the ceasefire. The ceasefire, part of a broader plan put forward by the administration to end the war and begin rebuilding, has seen 1,123 deaths since it took effect in October. While the heaviest fighting has subsided, Israel continues to conduct near-daily strikes to respond to militant violations. The war began after a Hamas-led attack on southern Israel in October 2023, which killed approximately 1,200 people and left 251 hostages.
