These vehicles, which are positioned between a traditional golf cart and a standard car, offer a cost-effective alternative to expensive electric vehicles. During a recent speech at General Motors' Milford Proving Grounds, President Trump stated that he wants to give American car companies the right to build "tiny little tiny cars." He noted that the popularity of these vehicles in Europe and Japan is a point of motivation for domestic production. Industry leaders like Keith Simon and Olivier Francois are betting on the micromobility segment. While traditional cars average nearly $50,000, LSVs like the Fiat Topolino and Chip Motors' "Chip" vehicle start around $15,000. These vehicles are ideal for short distances and can be charged using standard household outlets, making them a practical choice for consumers seeking affordability and ease of use.
