An unidentified gunman injured six people during a mass shooting in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood on Sunday morning.
Chicago police reported that an unidentified gunman opened fire on a crowd gathered in the 900 block of North Central Park Avenue in Humboldt Park early Sunday morning. The shooting occurred around 2:09 a.m., leaving at least six people wounded. Two of the victims, a 35-year-old man and a 36-year-old man, were listed in critical condition at nearby hospitals after being struck multiple times. The remaining four victims, ranging in age from 33 to 46, were reported to be in good condition. Detectives are currently investigating the scene to identify the shooter and determine a motive for the attack. A 911 caller reported hearing up to 30 gunshots during the incident. Police have taped off the area as they continue to work to identify the assailant, who remains at large.
