The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority reported that visitation fell to 38.5 million in 2025. This shift coincides with a new demographic of wealthier travelers, with 44% of visitors earning $150,000 or more. Despite the rise in luxury spending, traditional buffets have dwindled from over a dozen in 2020 to just four on the Strip. Budget-friendly establishments like Circus Circus and the South Point hotel and casino continue to provide affordable options to drive traffic. While luxury buffets at Caesars and the Wynn remain popular, the overall economic landscape of the city is increasingly defined by premium room rates, nightlife, and large-scale events.
