Trump Media & Technology Group plans to charge Wall Street firms up to $100,000 monthly for faster access to posts on Truth Social.
Trump Media & Technology Group is considering a new revenue stream by charging investment firms up to $100,000 per month for high-speed access to posts on its Truth Social platform. The company recently unveiled the "Truth API," a licensed data feed designed to give banks and trading firms a competitive edge by delivering posts from the 10 most influential accounts. While the administration announced the move as a way to diversify the company's media business, it has drawn criticism from Democrats. Senator Ron Wyden noted the plan would financially benefit the Trump family, while Senator Elizabeth Warren called it an "egregious scheme" to enrich Wall Street. Because the president's posts often move markets, high-frequency trading firms can gain significant profits from even millisecond advantages. Although critics like Donald Sherman question the ethics of the president profiting from his own market-moving updates, the arrangement is not currently deemed illegal under existing constitutional emoluments clauses. The company plans to officially launch the API on August 1.
