Cailen Waddell states there was no foul play in the disappearance of his wife, Elizabeth Waddell.
Cailen Waddell stated on Wednesday that he believes there was no foul play involved in the disappearance of his wife, Elizabeth Waddell, while vacationing in Grenada. The 44-year-old North Carolina woman was last seen swimming in the ocean near Grand Anse Beach on July 22. According to Cailen Waddell, the investigation will focus on tracing her movements in the hours before she vanished. Surveillance footage shows Elizabeth Waddell walking toward a beachside pier and swimming in calm water. While she was last seen by security cameras and witnesses on jet skis, she did not return to her Airbnb rental. Her husband confirmed she was wearing a burnt-orange crop top and blue-and-white striped shorts during her final swim. Royal Grenada Police Acting Police Commissioner Randy Connaught confirmed the matter is being treated as a missing person investigation. The U.S. State Department is aware of the disappearance, and local authorities continue to search for the woman.
