Ljubisa Karović was partially sucked out of a Ryanair plane after a window shattered during a flight from Greece.

Ljubisa Karović, a 61-year-old Serbian national, was partially pulled from a Ryanair aircraft after a window blew out shortly after takeoff from Thessaloniki, Greece. The incident occurred when a piece of debris from the engine struck and shattered the acrylic window, causing rapid decompression. Karović was vacuumed out headfirst, hanging waist-up for approximately two minutes at nearly 350 mph. His wife, Svetlana Grković, managed to pull him back into the cabin with the help of other passengers. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, made an emergency landing in Thessaloniki, where Karović received medical treatment for neck and shoulder injuries and friction burns. The National Transportation Safety Board is currently leading the investigation into the cause of the failure, which may involve an engine issue or a manufacturing defect. While aviation experts note that such rapid decompressions are rare, they emphasize that commercial air travel remains one of the safest modes of transportation. Ryanair confirmed the flight returned safely and arranged a replacement aircraft to complete the journey to Germany.
