Unitree Robotics has priced its Shanghai initial public offering at 150.8 yuan per share, valuing the company at approximately 9.04 billion dollars. The Hangzhou-based company, also known as Yushu Technology, is seeking to raise 6.1 billion yuan by selling 40.45 million new shares on Shanghai's STAR Market. This deal would make Unitree Robotics the first mainland-listed maker of humanoid robots in China. This IPO comes as trade and technology tensions between the United States and China increase. Washington is tightening Chinese access to a U.S. market, while Beijing is responding with export curbs and sanctions. Unitree Robotics noted that while its current humanoid and four-legged robots have U.S. approvals, future models could be barred from sale in the United States. The company's revenue more than quadrupled to 1.7 billion yuan in 2025, with humanoid robots becoming its largest business. However, growth has slowed this year, with profit falling 52.6% in the first quarter as the company increased spending on research and marketing.
