Micron Technology shares rose approximately 7% as investors capitalized on attractive valuations following a recent semiconductor selloff.

Micron Technology shares gained roughly 7% during Tuesday trading as investors returned to the market to capitalize on attractive valuations following a steep sector selloff. The rally was driven by continued optimism regarding the long-term artificial intelligence investment cycle and persistent demand for high-bandwidth memory. The recovery follows a sharp decline that briefly pushed semiconductor powerhouses into bear market territory, marking the sector's worst weekly drop in over a year. Despite concerns regarding elevated valuations and the sustainability of massive spending on AI infrastructure, underlying confidence in the AI-driven bull market remains intact. KeyBanc analyst John Vinh noted that memory shortages remain persistent, helping the company stabilize and attract buyers after a recent peak. While the stock is currently trading 16% below its 52-week high, it has risen 207% since the beginning of the year. The positive momentum contributed to a broader rally in the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index, which rose more than 5% as chip stocks recovered from last week's volatility.
