California Highway Patrol officers took a road rage suspect into custody Tuesday morning after a 45-minute high-speed pursuit through Los Angeles County. The chase began around 7:15 a.m. in the San Fernando Valley when the driver of a black Range Rover fled from Santa Monica Police Department investigators. The pursuit moved across the 405 Freeway, the 101 Freeway, and the 10 Freeway, with the vehicle reaching speeds exceeding 100 mph. The suspect navigated through heavy traffic and various neighborhoods, including Koreatown and the San Gabriel Valley, while weaving into oncoming lanes. The chase concluded near San Gabriel Boulevard and Hill Drive in Montebello, where a patrol car performed a PIT maneuver to stop the SUV. The suspect was being sought for a road rage incident that occurred on July 3 near Cloverfield Boulevard and Broadway. During that confrontation, the driver fired a single round at another vehicle. No injuries were reported during the pursuit, and the suspect's identity remains unreleased.
