Panasonic is recalling 11,480 Model No. NB-G200 Electric Toaster Ovens in the United States due to potential fire and shock hazards.

Panasonic is recalling 11,480 Model No. NB-G200 Electric Toaster Ovens sold in the United States, along with 2,184 units sold in Canada. The company issued the notice after discovering that a protective fiberglass sleeve does not adequately cover the power cord, resulting in insufficient insulation. This defect poses a risk of electric shock or fire for consumers. The recalled units were sold between October 2024 and April 2026 for approximately $170 each through Panasonic’s website, Costco, Amazon, and various other online retailers. While no major injuries or fires have been reported yet, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission received four reports of tripped circuit breakers and one report of a unit that stopped working. Consumers who own the affected toaster oven should verify the model number on the nameplate label at the back of the appliance. The U.S. government and Canadian authorities urge owners to stop using the product immediately. Panasonic is offering a full refund to customers who contact the company via phone or email.
