Farhad N. Sentenced to Life in Prison for Munich Car-Ramming Attack
Farhad N., a 25-year-old Afghan national, was sentenced to life imprisonment on Thursday after being found guilty of a car-ramming attack in Munich last year. The court ruled that Farhad N. deliberately drove his vehicle into a trade union rally of approximately 1,400 people, resulting in the deaths of a 37-year-old woman and her two-year-old daughter. He was convicted of two counts of murder, 23 counts of attempted murder, and 22 counts of bodily harm. Presiding judge Michael Hoehne noted that the defendant acted out of religious motivation, seeking to prove himself a good Muslim in response to the situation in Islamic countries.
