Thirteen people were injured when an employee shuttle bus jumped a curb and crashed into a concrete wall at Newark Liberty International Airport on Monday morning. The crash occurred just after 3:00 a.m. at the Terminal B Departures Level 3 roadway. Emergency services, including Port Authority Police, responded to the scene. Three of the injured individuals suffered serious injuries, while the remaining 10 people sustained minor injuries. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening. Authorities closed the Departures Level 3 roadway while crews worked to clear the debris. Departing passengers were advised to be dropped off on Level 2. The bus was towed away by 8:00 a.m., and the roadway reopened to traffic around 8:30 a.m. Air traffic remained unaffected by the incident. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
