A 19-year-old man is in stable condition after suffering a gunshot wound to his neck and shoulder during a shooting in downtown Bloomington early Sunday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 1:07 a.m.

near the southwest corner of the Monroe County Public Library. Police responded to the scene and found blood and personal belongings on the sidewalk. Witnesses reported a disturbance between two males, during which one man produced a handgun and fired a single shot. The bullet also struck a brick in front of the Old National Bank across the street. The suspect fled in a vehicle before law enforcement arrived. The injured man arrived at IU Health Bloomington Hospital, where he refused to cooperate with investigators. No suspect has been identified yet.
