Anthony Howlett and Tyaisha West were killed during a mass shooting at a Trenton block party.

Two residents were killed and eight others were injured during a mass shooting on the 100 block of Locust Street in Trenton, New Jersey. The shooting occurred around 12:23 a.m. on Sunday, August 30, during a block party attended by approximately 100 people. Multiple suspects walked up to the crowd and opened fire, leaving more than 50 shell casings at the scene. Anthony Howlett, 42, and Tyaisha West, 33, were pronounced dead at the scene. Of the eight survivors, three men were hospitalized in critical condition, while one woman remained in stable condition. Four other victims were treated and released. Police responded to the scene and transported victims to Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage and searching for witnesses to identify the suspects. No arrests have been made at this time.
