Two people were killed in a head-on collision on Saturday morning in Mays Landing, New Jersey. The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Route 50 and Third Street, involving a stolen Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon that veered into oncoming traffic and struck a sedan. According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, the driver of the stolen vehicle was at fault for the collision, which sent both cars spinning off the roadway. The New Jersey Attorney General's Office is investigating the crash alongside the Hamilton Township Police Department. State law requires the attorney general's office to conduct investigations of a person's death that occurs during an encounter with a law enforcement officer acting in the officer's official capacity. One adult and three juveniles were charged in connection with the incident. The identities of the victims and the suspects have not been released yet. Authorities are asking for any information regarding the crash to be submitted to the Major Crimes Unit.
