Hyundai Motor Company CEO José Muñoz introduces the Genesis GV90, a new flagship luxury electric SUV for the U.S. market.
Hyundai Motor Company CEO José Muñoz announced the launch of the Genesis GV90, the luxury brand's first full-size, three-row electric SUV for the United States. The vehicle serves as the brand's flagship, featuring a 123.5kWh battery capable of providing an estimated range of 310 miles. The administration announced that the GV90 will be available in two primary variants: the standard model with conventional doors and the GV90 Neolun, which features pillarless coach doors and 180-degree swiveling front seats for a lounge-like experience. Genesis engineered a new structure to maintain high safety standards despite the absence of a middle B-pillar in the Neolun model. The interior includes a 23.6-inch OLED cinematic display, a 25-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, and a generative AI assistant. The GV90 is expected to go on sale in the U.S. early next year, with pricing to be disclosed closer to its arrival. The vehicle will be produced at a new Hyundai facility in Ulsan, South Korea.
