Brian Clark and Stanley Praimnath survived the 9/11 attacks as 'blood brothers' after meeting on the 81st floor of the South Tower

Brian Clark and Stanley Praimnath were two of only four individuals known to have survived above the impact zone in the south tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. While Clark was on the 84th floor and Praimnath was on the 81st floor, the two men met during the chaos of the attacks. Clark, who had volunteered as a floor fire warden, led a group of colleagues down the stairs. On the 81st floor, he heard a muffled cry for help and entered the office to find Praimnath, who was crawling away from the flames. Clark grasped Praimnath's hand and hauled him over a partition, and the two men became close friends. Both men have shared their survival stories for over 25 years. Clark, now 79, describes his experience as fortunate and blessed, while Praimnath, a pastor, views his survival as an act of God's grace. They have remained close friends, with Clark referring to Praimnath as his 'blood brother.' Both men continue to share their experiences to help others understand the emotional reality of the 9/11 attacks.
