Rebekah Cabral-Gonzalez, Jason Potter, and Nevaeh Harper were among four killed in a Wrightwood car crash

Four people were killed and two others were injured in a car crash early Friday morning near Wrightwood. A black 2016 Hyundai Veloster carrying six residents from the community veered off Highway 2 and overturned down an embankment, striking a power pole. The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. along the eastern edge of the Angeles National Forest. Preliminary investigations by the California Highway Patrol indicate that none of the six occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision. Authorities also believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash. Five of the six passengers were ejected from the vehicle during the collision, with four being pronounced dead at the scene. Two survivors were transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in critical condition. The deceased victims were identified as 21-year-old Rebekah Cabral-Gonzalez, 19-year-old Jason Potter, and 20-year-old Nevaeh Harper. A fourth victim's identity has not yet been released.
