Pabst Blue Ribbon beer truck carrying 40,000 pounds of cargo is missing in California

A truck carrying 40,000 pounds of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer was stolen from a distribution center in Montclair, California, on August 17. The shipment, which included 1,400 cases of PBR and 200 cases of Old Milwaukee Non Alcoholic beer, was valued at approximately $45,000 and was intended for delivery in San Diego. Montclair Police Department investigators are currently looking into two cargo thefts that occurred at the Anheuser-Busch distribution center on the same day. A second theft occurred an hour later, involving a truck with roughly $25,000 worth of beer that was taken by a purported subcontracting company using fraudulent paperwork. Police believe the two incidents may be linked as part of a single fraudulent operation. Pabst Blue Ribbon has used social media to request the return of the truck, offering a reward for information. The company gave the thief an ultimatum of 18 days and 44 minutes to return the vehicle with no questions asked. Paul Myers, the senior director of integrated marketing operations for Pabst, stated that the brewery is working with local authorities to recover the stolen cargo.
