Abelardo de la Espriella visits earthquake-affected areas to announce housing and economic recovery measures

President Abelardo de la Espriella visited the city of Buga and the Cuarto de Legua sector in Cali to oversee the reconstruction of areas damaged by the August 10 earthquake. During these visits, the administration announced a series of measures to provide housing solutions and economic support to affected families. In Buga, the administration allocated 23 billion pesos for the reconstruction of the ITA Educational Institution and 2.5 billion pesos for the repair of over 1,000 homes. Additionally, the administration announced 40 billion pesos to support micro-enterprises and tourist activities in the Cauca Valley, including 25 billion pesos in credit for micro-enterprises through Banc贸ldex. In Cali, Abelardo de la Espriella announced that the National Government will work with local authorities to habilitate land for higher urban density in affected zones. The administration also ordered the Society of Special Assets to make 24 buildings habitable for earthquake victims. Furthermore, the administration announced that 864 finished homes identified by Camacol will be converted into subsidies for affected families.
