Republican Representative Mike Collins Faces Scrutiny Over White Nationalist Ties and Staffer Conduct

Additionally, Collins' son-in-law, David Alan Scheer II, has been noted for sharing Nazi imagery and antisemitic sentiment. Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff has criticized these associations, calling the report on Parra's conduct "disgraceful and disqualifying." Ossoff has also highlighted a House Ethics Committee investigation into allegations that Collins' office misused taxpayer dollars. While Collins' office maintains that Parra's posts were satirical and that Collins himself unequivocally condemns the extremist views, the pattern of associations continues to plague the candidate. Collins, who is endorsed by Trump, seeks to win the seat in a November midterm election that will be critical for determining the party's control of the Senate.
