Keisha Monique Epps and Tamra Marshon Stewart face charges for neglecting and sexually abusing four children in a semi-truck

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the arrests of Keisha Monique Epps and Tamra Marshon Stewart for the neglect and sexual abuse of four children who lived in the cab of a semi-truck for more than six years. Epps, a commercial truck driver, operated routes between Atlanta and Miami while the children were confined in the truck's sleeper cab from January 2020 to April 2026. Investigators reported that the four children, ranging in age from five to nine years old, were forced to share a single bunk and were denied adequate food, hygiene, schooling, and medical care. Tamra Marshon Stewart is accused of sexually abusing the two girls while Epps was driving or sleeping. The two boys reported witnessing the abuse and were physically assaulted when they confronted Stewart or reported the incidents to Epps. Epps is accused of knowing about the abuse but failing to report it. Both women face multiple charges, including sexual battery, child neglect, and failure to report child abuse. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.
