A passenger bus overturned on the Mexico-Pachuca highway on Wednesday morning, resulting in dozens of injuries and one confirmed death. The accident occurred at kilometer 32+000 near the municipality of TecÂĄmac, as the bus was traveling toward Mexico City. Witnesses reported that the bus lost control after a head-on collision with another vehicle, causing it to overturn and lean against the high-speed lanes. Emergency teams from the Red Cross, SUEM Service of Emergencies of the State of Mexico, and local fire departments arrived to assist passengers. Authorities closed the highway to allow for investigations and the removal of vehicles. The bus operator and the vehicle driver were detained and sent to the Public Ministry to determine responsibility. While many passengers were transported to hospitals, others without visible injuries waited for insurance representatives to determine if they required further medical examination.
