Ukraine Codifies Dovbush T40 Strategic Drone to Expand Domestic Long-Range Strike Capabilities
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has officially codified the Dovbush T40, a strategic-level unmanned aircraft system manufactured entirely by a Ukrainian company. This new drone is designed for deep reconnaissance, fire correction, and precision strikes against targets far from the front line, including areas beyond the Ural Mountains and in Russian Siberia. With a wingspan of nearly 5 meters and the ability to remain airborne for more than 24 hours, the Dovbush T40 offers a significant technical achievement for a domestic system. It features a high-performance engine with electronic fuel injection and maintains a low radar visibility. The drone is also highly resistant to electronic warfare, allowing it to make regular strikes on Russian infrastructure and military-industrial complex facilities that were previously considered unreachable. The T40 was developed by the same company behind the Dovbush T20 and Kotyhoroshko systems, which have been active on the battlefield since 2022. The administration announced that the Dovbush T40 has confirmed its tactical and technical specifications during testing, marking a coordinated push toward self-sufficient, long-distance strike capabilities.
