Rescue workers in Nepal successfully pulled Shirganga Ichai Magar alive from beneath thick mud and debris after a devastating flood swept through the Rasuwa district. The six-year-old girl was located by the Armed Police Force team in Timure village, where authorities heard faint cries beneath the soil and acted quickly to dig her out. After being initially treated at the APF Border Outpost, her condition deteriorated, requiring urgent medical care. She was airlifted to a hospital in Kathmandu for specialist treatment. Her parents, Gita Ichai Magar and Lok Bahadur Ichai Magar, were also rescued and airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment. Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal stated that reconstruction costs for the flood damage could reach billions of dollars. While 675 bodies have been retrieved, more than 2,400 people remain missing. Authorities are currently searching for her family or relatives to ensure she is reunited with her family.
