Morena Designates Eduardo Castillo L贸pez to Head the Chamber of Deputies' Instructor Section

The Morena parliamentary group has selected Eduardo Castillo L贸pez to lead the Chamber of Deputies' Instructor Section. He will replace Hugo Eric Flores, who requested leave to assume the presidency of the new PAZ party. Castillo L贸pez will oversee the legislative organ responsible for processing impeachment requests and determining whether to remove the procedural immunity of legislators. His primary task will be to review the documents from the General Prosecutor's Office of Campeche regarding the suspected illegal enrichment, embezzlement, and misuse of powers by former governor Alejandro Moreno C谩rdenas. The selection was made during a plenary meeting. While other members, such as 脫scar Iv谩n Brito Zapata and Jaime Humberto P茅rez Bernabe, were considered for the role, the group finalized the choice of Castillo L贸pez. The Instructor Section will immediately reactivate the impeachment case against Moreno C谩rdenas. The legislative body is scheduled to hold a preparatory session this Monday to choose the members of the Mesa Directiva and prepare for the second government report from President Claudia Sheinbaum on Tuesday.
