Alaska Airlines to Launch Nonstop Service to Athens and Paris from Seattle

Alaska Airlines will launch new nonstop seasonal service from Seattle to Athens and Paris starting in May 2027. The carrier will become the first airline to offer a regularly scheduled nonstop flight between Seattle and Athens, making it the only West Coast carrier to provide direct service to the Greek capital. The Athens route, which will be the airline's longest ever flown, begins May 12, 2027, and operates three times weekly. Simultaneously, the airline will offer nonstop service to Paris, beginning May 25, 2027, with five weekly flights. This expansion establishes Alaska Airlines as a major global carrier, serving seven intercontinental destinations from its Seattle hub. The airline is utilizing Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners to provide a premium experience, including lie-flat suites and Starlink Wi-Fi. To celebrate the launch, Alaska Airlines is offering introductory roundtrip fares starting at $999. The airline is also partnering with Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold to promote the new routes.
