Adam Massman Died from Football Injury Sustained During Game Against Turtle Lake
Adam Massman, a 17-year-old senior at Alma Center Lincoln High School, died from an injury sustained during a football game against Turtle Lake on Thursday night. Superintendent Drew Semingson reported that emergency medical personnel were on-site to provide immediate care before Massman was transported to a hospital. The district has not released specific details regarding the nature of the injury, as the administration is only releasing information approved by the family. Superintendent Semingson noted that Massman was a three-sport athlete and academic honoree who was deeply involved in the community. The Alma Center-Humbird-Merrillan School District announced that counseling support will be available for students, parents, and friends at Lincoln Jr./Sr. High School starting Monday at noon. The school community has already begun creating tributes to Massman, including a painting of his parking spot with the letters "Long Live Adam" and images representing his family's cattle business. The district is asking the community to keep the Massman family in their thoughts and prayers.
