Elder Quentin L. Cook to Dedicate Pago Pago American Samoa Temple in December 2026

Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside over the dedication of the Pago Pago American Samoa Temple on Sunday, December 13, 2026. This will be the first temple in the United States territory of American Samoa, serving the region's more than 17,600 Latter-day Saints. Prior to the dedication, the temple will host a public open house from November 4 to November 21, 2026, excluding Sundays. A media day is scheduled for November 2, and private tours for invited guests will occur on November 3. The temple is a single-story, 17,000-square-foot building located in Tafuna. Simultaneously, the Church announced groundbreaking services for the Vienna Austria Temple on October 17, 2026. Presided over by Elder Michael Cziesla, this multistory structure will be the first house of the Lord in Austria, serving over 4,700 members in the country.
