Anthony DiLorenzo wins Republican primary for New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District

Businessman Anthony DiLorenzo won the Republican nomination for New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District, defeating a crowded field of candidates. DiLorenzo, who received a complete and total endorsement from President Trump, secured the victory by focusing on his background as a businessman and his goal to bring pragmatic, positive change to Washington, D.C. During the primary, DiLorenzo faced off against Novel Iron Works owner Hollie Noveletsky and state Representative Brian Cole. While DiLorenzo held a significant fundraising advantage over Noveletsky, recent polling had shown the two candidates were statistically tied. In a recent debate, Noveletsky and Cole challenged DiLorenzo on his stance regarding illegal immigrants, specifically his preference for deporting felons and violent criminals first. DiLorenzo will face Democratic candidate Stefany Shaheen in the general election. Shaheen won her primary by defeating Maura Sullivan and Carleigh Beriont. The seat is currently held by Democratic Representative Chris Pappas, who is running for the U.S. Senate to replace retiring Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen.
