Benjamin Netanyahu and Jared Kushner Agree on Gaza Demilitarization Plan to Begin with Hamas Weapons Handover

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of President Trump and a key envoy, reached an agreement on the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip. During a meeting, the two leaders agreed that the process should begin with a Hamas weapons handover supervised by an American military general. The administration announced that the demilitarization and disarmament of Hamas should be completed before any reconstruction of the Gaza territory begins. Netanyahu also emphasized that the Israel Defense Forces will not redeploy until Hamas is genuinely disarmed. While the administration's peace plan was initially rejected by Netanyahu, a renewed diplomatic effort is underway to revive the road map endorsed by Trump and Hamas. Several nations, including the UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, have condemned Israel's rejection of the roadmap. Meanwhile, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan warned that Türkiye, Qatar, and Egypt could take radical measures if Israel fails to comply with the commitments of the Gaza agreement.
