Omar Garcia Harfuch reports the dismantling of three clandestine methamphetamine laboratories in the state of Guerrero

Omar Garcia Harfuch, the head of the Secretariat of Security and Protection of the Citizen (SSPC), reported that federal authorities dismantled three clandestine laboratories dedicated to the production of methamphetamine in the state of Guerrero. The coordinated operation involved agents from the SSPC, the Secretariat of National Defense, and the National Guard. Authorities seized over 7.8 tons and approximately 25,800 liters of substances and chemical precursors. The seized items included 260 drums of 200 liters, 11 containers of 500 liters, 9 reactors, over 60 gas tanks, 150 barrels of caustic soda, and 663 kilograms of ammonium chloride. The operation took place in the municipalities of Coahuayutla de Jose Maria Izazaga and Zirandaro de los Chavez. The materials and equipment were rendered unusable according to established protocols. The SSPC stated that the operation involved collaboration and intelligence exchange with US agencies. The dismantling of these laboratories has removed approximately 25 tons of methamphetamine from circulation.
