Maria CobonGuzman Faces Manslaughter Charge After Unlicensed Driving Results in Fatal Grocery Store Parking Lot Crash

Maria CobonGuzman, a 20-year-old from Trenton, faces manslaughter charges after a Ford Fusion she was driving struck a mother and her two children in a Jackson Township grocery store parking lot. The 9-month-old boy was pronounced dead at the hospital, while his mother and 5-year-old sister remain in stable condition. Authorities revealed that CobonGuzman had never possessed a valid driver's license in any state. Ariadna Lazaro-Flores, a 22-year-old from Toms River, was also charged for knowingly allowing CobonGuzman to operate the vehicle despite her lack of a license. Both women are currently being held at the Ocean County Jail pending detention hearings. The crash remains under investigation by multiple local police departments and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
