Julie Pierre Corrects Public Record After Uber Courier Ivan Dario Rico Molano Was Arrested by Border Patrol During Delivery

Julie Pierre, the founder of the viral bakery Roll and Dough, issued a public apology after discovering that her Uber courier, Ivan Dario Rico Molano, did not intentionally steal her cinnamon rolls. Initially, Pierre believed the courier had vanished with the 400 pastries, valued at $3,100, after they failed to arrive at a farmers' market. However, Sunrise Police and U.S. Customs and Border Protection confirmed that Ivan Dario Rico Molano was detained by immigration authorities while en route to the delivery. As an illegal immigrant, Ivan Dario Rico Molano was stopped on Interstate 95 and transported to the processing station. He was permitted to contact another individual to take possession of the vehicle containing the pastries. While the pastries were eventually recovered, Pierre noted that they had to be discarded due to the delay. Pierre expressed her sympathy for the courier and plans to donate a portion of her proceeds to help his family with legal fees. Uber refunded the cost of the order, and Pierre remains committed to the bakery's growth.
