Stefano Cremasco-Cicero Charged with Second-Degree Murder After Fatally Stabbing His Mother in Miami High-Rise

Stefano Cremasco-Cicero, a 36-year-old restaurant manager, was charged with second-degree murder with a weapon after allegedly stabbing his mother to death in a luxury high-rise apartment in Miami's Brickell neighborhood. Police responded to the Solitair Brickell building on Friday morning at approximately 4:45 a.m. after receiving a call regarding a woman who appeared to have been stabbed. Officers found Cremasco-Cicero in the lobby, drenched in blood on his clothing, hands, and shoes. He told detectives, "I was defending myself," and led them to the 47th-floor unit where they found his mother, who was visiting from Mexico, lying on her side with multiple stab wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Surveillance footage and key-fob logs confirmed the two entered the building together the night before. Video showed Cremasco-Cicero entering an elevator with a knife and bloodstained clothes around 4:30 a.m. His wife, who was in France at the time, stated that the pair were not close following his parents' divorce and noted that he was under stress from opening a new restaurant in Coconut Grove. Cremasco-Cicero appeared before a judge on Saturday and was denied bond. He currently has an immigration hold from ICE.
