Mexico City's Secretariat of Urban Safety Schedules Diverse Public Mobilizations and Activities for Sunday
The Secretariat of Urban Safety (SSC-CDMX) announced that Mexico City will host a variety of public mobilizations, marches, and round-the-clock activities across multiple boroughs on Sunday. These events range from advocacy for freedom of expression and animal welfare to cannabis rights and accessibility for people with disabilities. Significant activities include a march by the Liberty of Expression Movement starting at 09:30 from the Monument to the Revolution to the Angel of Independence. Additionally, the National Alliance One Million of Hope will lead a mobilization for animal rights at 11:30. The Independent Life Organization for Persons with Disability will initiate a round-the-clock activity starting at 07:00 towards the Central Park, with an estimated attendance of 800 people. Other notable events include a cleaning day by the collective 'Glorieta de las y los Desaparecidos' and a wandering day for cannabis rights by Platform 420. Motorcyclists and cyclists will also participate in round-trips from various points across the city, potentially causing traffic disruptions.
