Boise Police Arrest Two Suspects in Drive-By Shooting That Killed Destiny Gonzalez
Boise Police arrested 18-year-old Ulisses Macareno and a 17-year-old juvenile in connection with a drive-by shooting that killed 22-year-old Destiny Gonzalez. The shooting occurred just before 6 a.m. on August 30 in the 3900 block of West Clement Road in Boise. Gonzalez, a resident of Caldwell, was found on the front porch of a home being used as a short-term vacation rental where a party was underway. Evidence indicates the 17-year-old suspect fired the weapon while Macareno was driving a sedan-style vehicle. Police do not believe Gonzalez was the intended target, stating that the shooter was likely targeting the party or the people attending it. Macareno was arrested in Meridian and charged with first-degree murder by aiding and abetting. The juvenile suspect was arrested in Caldwell and charged with first-degree murder. The investigation remains ongoing.
