Inver Grove Heights Police Discover Three Dead Individuals Inside a Residence During a Welfare Check
Inver Grove Heights Police Department officers discovered three people dead inside a residence in the 3200 block of 78th Street East on Sunday afternoon. The discovery occurred during a routine welfare check, with emergency personnel first alerted to the address shortly before 11 a.m. Deputy Police Chief Dennis Haugland stated that there is no known threat to the public. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the investigation, which remains active. While the medical examiner will eventually release the identities and causes of death for the three victims, authorities have not yet confirmed if any arrests were made or if weapons were found at the scene. Residents and neighbors gathered near the home, where a memorial has been established. Police from several surrounding areas, including Apple Valley and Burnsville, provided assistance.
