Morena Maintains Significant Lead in Polls Ahead of 2027 Elections

The governing party, Morena, maintains a substantial lead in electoral preference polls ahead of the 2027 federal elections. Multiple surveys indicate that Morena holds between 33% and 48% of the gross preference, significantly outperforming its opposition parties. While Morena remains the frontrunner, the opposition parties PAN and PRI have seen a decline in support, with the PAN holding between 11% and 15% and the PRI holding between 8% and 12% of the preference. Movement Ciudadano (MC) has emerged as a competitive third option, securing between 9% and 13% of the preference. The governing coalition, including PT and Verde, continues to support Morena, with the PT and Verde parties holding between 2% and 5% of the preference. The opposition faces a dilemma regarding alliances. While Jorge Romero, the national leader of the PAN, has expressed a desire to prioritize strengthening the party's own brand, he has opened the door to local alliances with the PRI. Conversely, Alejandro Alito Moreno, the national leader of the PRI, is actively promoting a broad national opposition front to compete against Morena.
