Craig Eady Dies from Injuries Sustained in Northwest Fresno Plane Crash
Craig Eady, a 44-year-old man from Auberry, California, died from injuries sustained in a plane crash on Saturday, September 5. The crash occurred near Sierra Sky Park in northwest Fresno, where a single-engine aircraft caught fire on a bluff near the San Joaquin River. Eady was traveling with his wife, Danna Eady, and two of their children. Danna Eady, a certified flight instructor, was piloting the aircraft when it crashed. She was transported to a hospital in critical condition and died from her injuries on Saturday evening. The two younger children were pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly before 2 p.m. to find the wreckage and extinguish flames before they spread to nearby properties. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the cause of the crash. The Eady family has established a support campaign to help with funeral and other expenses.
